The greenest days always brush your soul,
You’ll feel it there, your heart lets you know.
As flowers stretch, take their morning breath,
When sun meets earth and dawn is met.
Like orange skies as they’re breached by blue.
As the moon recedes and hides from view.
My heart ajar, the world feels so new.
I still remember, as our vibrations synced.
You always knew the things I’d think.
Our eyes met like two magnetic strands,
Awoke my soul when I held your hand.
And all the world both good and damned,
Compares nothing yet to this New Zealand.
A prophetic place where lovers preach,
A destination I never thought I’d reach.
A new love I should have never known.
My dearest Buttons, who I now call home.
For the greenest days, they change your mind.
And I think, perchance, that love is mine.
